FREE PILATES FOR BACK PAIN

Gentle Pilates to Ease Back Pain

Welcome to this collection of Pilates sessions designed to help if you're struggling with back pain, stiffness or tension.

In my many years of teaching, I have found back pain is one of the most common reasons people come to Pilates. It can happen for lots of reasons. You might spend long hours sitting at a desk, stand all day for work, play sports or run a lot, spend too much time in the car or simply find that your back feels stiffer and less comfortable as the years go by.

It can be tempting to move less when your back hurts, but gentle movement is actually one of the best things you can do for your back.

These sessions have been carefully chosen from my YouTube library to help you improve your mobility, build your strength and release tension throughout the body. You’ll work at a gentle pace, and we will focus on helping you move more comfortably and confidently whilst giving your back the support it needs.

As always, listen to your body and work at a pace that feels right for you. There is no rush and no pressure. It is all about helping you feel good in mind and body.

BACK PAIN PLAYLIST

Pilates for Back Pain

This playlist has many of my most popular back pain sessions. You will find gentle routines for back pain, spinal mobility, posture and also general stiffness and tension.

Some sessions focus on stretching and releasing tight muscles, whilst others will help you build strength in the core, hips and back to better support your body and improve the way you move.

Start with whichever session feels right for you. Some days you may need a gentle stretch and on other days you may feel ready for a longer workout. The most important thing is that you keep moving and find what works best for you.

Tip

Take your time and enjoy the movement. Consistency is more important than intensity and even a short Pilates session can make a real difference to how your back feels.
