Your Body Knows: A Pilates Journey to Self-Trust

The biggest lesson I have learnt through 26 years of Pilates is to trust my body. A good teacher is a guide, a coach, a cheerleader that celebrates your little wins and we all need that. But the practice of pilates, the consistency and the focus of the method builds your own inner trust; in what you can do, in being confident of taking on a challenge regardless of whether you achieve it, and knowing yourself well enough that you don’t push through pain. On my YouTube channel I am there to coach you and empower you to feel good in mind and body. And what I am passionate about is enabling you to choose what works for you. When choosing one of my workouts don’t pick the hardest because it’s the hardest, pick the one your body needs that day. And if you’re not sure, always start with the basics and work your way through the challenges to find one that is doable but a challenge, manageable but not painful, tiring but not depleting. Pilates is not punishment, it’s movement medicine to ignite your passion in taking care of yourself.
